    1st ship hull modeling attempt with ShapeMaker

    Cheers all, Experimenting with the ShapeMaker, this is an existing hull, trying to input into Shapemaker, using DXF lines. Excellent 1st impressions. Waiting to see how the zebra and curvatures are displayed (trying to figure it out).

    Curvature for surface itself is not so interesting. Usually we check sections of curvature. You can do it here:



    Than:



    Playing with this parameters you will make porcupine more sensitive.

    To see section curvature you have to switch on sections level in following toolbar:



    To see Zebra you have to switch on this icon in same toolbar:



    Parameters of Zebra you can set by this menu:



    Zebra show line of equal angle between projection vector and surface normal vector. if you chose subdivision 90 - it means every 1 grad. line will be visualized.
